If Nils Wieberneit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the game, Dobrein's Jörg Kerth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon Seisler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 25th minute of the match Klaudius Grooten sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steffen-Julian Westphal skillfully saved the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Jens Lang shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simon Seisler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jens Lang took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simon Seisler. Wienerberg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Simon Seisler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen Luft in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Jörg Kerth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Seisler. Wienerberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jörg Kerth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Nils Wieberneit kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Steffen-Julian Westphal. That made the score 2-2 in the 42 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils Wieberneit to make the kick off. Jörg Kerth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Seisler having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörg Kerth in the 63rd minute of play forced Wienerberg's goalkeeper Simon Seisler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes Dobrein got a freekick which was hit by Paul Hötte. In the 68th minute, Nils Wieberneit made a precise shot to the right of Steffen-Julian Westphal. Dobrein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Steffen Luft could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Simon Seisler made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Steffen Luft took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Simon Seisler to make any attempt to save it. Nils Wieberneit scored 4-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steffen-Julian Westphal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matthäus Schünemann hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Dobrein's Tim-Oliver Grooten got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jochen Messerschmidt came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Wienerberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jochen Messerschmidt couldn't finish the play. Steffen Luft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Seisler having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Wienerberg got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Gerlach. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dobrein players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wienerberg.
