Marc-Joel Melkko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Walter Beimel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dominic-Simon Reimann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ERÇELSPOR's Peter Weiser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save ERÇELSPOR from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute, Dominic-Simon Reimann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, ERÇELSPOR's Oliver Beimel got a free kick in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rouven Springer in the 75th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Sven-Philipp Kastner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 played minutes ERÇELSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Beimel. If Walter Beimel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Sudhoff was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Willi Marke struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Peter Weiser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borussia Dortmund. Walter Beimel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Peter Weiser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borussia Dortmund's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
