After a defensive mix-up in Rittham FSV's zone, Nino Katzer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Reichert came out of the goal and Nino Katzer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rittham FSV's Sebastian Reichert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Wenning in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Rittham FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Polskis came free, but Sebastian Reichert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nino Katzer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Sebastian Reichert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Rittham FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Polskis came free, but Sebastian Reichert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SK Ternitz 2007's Karl-Heinz Flöter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save SK Ternitz 2007 from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Rittham FSV booed when SK Ternitz 2007 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Polskis didn't get a good kick on the ball. SK Ternitz 2007's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nino Katzer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Rittham FSV's Timo Fuhrmann got a free kick in the 44th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Freitag stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
