In the 15thth minute of the game Nino Durry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ruhstetten FC's Ulf Konig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Nino Durry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Konig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klaas Frohlich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Konig having to interfere. Nino Durry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ulf Konig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klaas Frohlich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute Nino Durry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Konig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klaas Frohlich struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ulf Konig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. Klaus-Dieter Dams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Faust during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Faust to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andreas Dombrowsky made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaas Frohlich got free with Ulf Konig in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Nino Durry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Hainl kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruhstetten FC's goalkeeper Ulf Konig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Kim Horsky hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Andreas Dombrowsky had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Lange. Galatasaray's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Dombrowsky was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
