Klaas Frohlich ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 3rd minute Nino Durry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Benetiz-Volkwein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klaas Frohlich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Benetiz-Volkwein having to interfere. Tim Benetiz-Volkwein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nino Durry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nino Durry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nino Durry in the 30th minute of play forced Tophiis FC's goalkeeper Tim Benetiz-Volkwein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klaas Frohlich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tim Benetiz-Volkwein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tophiis FC's Till Bayer got a free kick in the 37th minute. Klaas Frohlich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nino Durry in the 43rd minute of play forced Tophiis FC's goalkeeper Tim Benetiz-Volkwein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nino Durry was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaas Frohlich got free with Tim Benetiz-Volkwein in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tim Benetiz-Volkwein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nino Durry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tophiis FC's Ruben Petermann got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Tophiis FC's Tim Benetiz-Volkwein got control of the ball when Klaas Frohlich tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 58 played minutes Tophiis FC got a freekick which was hit by Marc Kueres. 59 minutes into the game, Nino Durry recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tim Benetiz-Volkwein. Nino Durry showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After 67 played minutes Nino Durry rounded Tophiis FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. After 74 minutes, Marc Kueres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tophiis FC and the Galatasaray players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Tophiis FC got a freekick which was hit by Marc Kueres. When Nino Durry came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nino Durry couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Klaas Frohlich got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Tophiis FC's zone, Klaas Frohlich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Benetiz-Volkwein came out of the goal and Klaas Frohlich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dominik Haar struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Christian Lange didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tophiis FC. Christian Lange made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Petermann in the 85th minute of play. Galatasaray's Nino Durry was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 87th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tophiis FC's Tim Benetiz-Volkwein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Tophiis FC from getting a goal against them. Marc Kueres got his second yellow card in the match during the 97th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Tophiis FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Marc Kueres hit a great ball. Galatasaray's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
