In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galatasaray's goalkeeper Christian Lange, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nino Durry to maneuver through the defense. Klaas Frohlich charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaas Frohlich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Klaas Frohlich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Jugendausbildung m.o Lust was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Schennach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dustin Holzwart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nino Durry to make the kick off. Klaas Frohlich hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Dustin Holzwart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Frohlich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jan Burkart came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Jugendausbildung m.o Lust fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Burkart couldn't finish the play. Christian Lange made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Jan Burkart sent off a good shot on target. Nino Durry's late challenge caught a Jugendausbildung m.o Lust's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nino Durry helped the player get up and apologised. Nino Durry hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Galatasaray's Christian Lange got control of the ball when Jan Burkart tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Galatasaray players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
