Mitteraich
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kim Schlagbauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Knipprath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mitteraich fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Rouven Krämer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mitteraich's supporters rose to their feet, but Rouven Krämer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim Schlagbauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danny Knipprath kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. FC Spy's Kim Schlagbauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Knipprath in the 27th minute of play. Rouven Krämer took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kim Schlagbauer. Kim Schlagbauer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Rouven Krämer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Schlagbauer having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Spy's goalkeeper Kim Schlagbauer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Kim Schlagbauer managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Mitteraich's Rouven Krämer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 45 minutes, Dominic Herzog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Spy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominic Herzog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 47 in the game by Rouven Krämer from a close distance when the talented Kim Schlagbauer managed to make a qualified save. FC Spy's players were relieved. Jannick Hofstetter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nico Abt. Mitteraich's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Vollmer was the one to do the kick off. Mario Drappatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nico Abt made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Mario Drappatz sent off a good shot on target. Kim Schlagbauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Knipprath, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Mario Drappatz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Vollmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nico Abt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, FC Spy's goal looked a bit too open when Rouven Krämer came free, but Kim Schlagbauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes, Dominic Herzog mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Spy and the Mitteraich players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Spy getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Dominic Herzog hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the game, Uwe Klat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Spy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mitteraich the free kick. The supporters of Mitteraich booed when FC Spy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uwe Klat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Mitteraich's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frank Vollmer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mario Drappatz might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nico Abt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mario Drappatz ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of FC Spy booed when Mitteraich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Wassermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 minutes, Frank Vollmer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Spy and the Mitteraich players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Spy's Frank Vollmer got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, FC Spy's goal looked a bit too open when Rouven Krämer came free, but Kim Schlagbauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danny Knipprath blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kim Schlagbauer having to make a save. In the 93rd minute, Marc Wassermann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Mitteraich's Nico Abt got control of the ball when Mario Drappatz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mitteraich fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Spy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
