Andre Göller's late challenge caught a Elsarn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andre Göller helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Strasseck got a freekick which was hit by Andre Göller. Strasseck's Steffen Selmser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Strasseck from getting a goal against them. Robin Bensch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steffen Selmser read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mats-Alexander Hesseling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florian Stotz was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. When Strasseck's Andre Göller in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elsarn's goalie prevented a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel-Benjamin Haas was the one to do the kick off. In the 85th match minute, Strasseck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Kowalke to maneuver through the defense. When Joel-Benjamin Haas came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Elsarn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel-Benjamin Haas couldn't finish the play. Ole Lack kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The Elsarn supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Strasseck's performance. The match ended with a win for Strasseck.
