In the 5thth minute of the game Alexander Schrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union Vta Rottenbach's Tim Brückler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roland Haas struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Meikel Ganther didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Union Vta Rottenbach. Dieter Gennburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute of the match, Sven Debus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Meikel Ganther saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Union Vta Rottenbach booed when Thalbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien-Nils Pichlmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Patrik Gartler fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Meikel Ganther was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Union Vta Rottenbach's Sven Debus was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Meikel Ganther made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roland Haas in the 41st minute. Alexander Schrade kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven Debus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roland Haas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Roland Haas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven Debus took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meikel Ganther. Meikel Ganther dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Dustin Ibertsberger kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Union Vta Rottenbach's Tim Brückler got control of the ball when Arnold Sonntag tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 66 minutes, Yannick Baumann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thalbach and the Union Vta Rottenbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Thalbach's goalkeeper Meikel Ganther, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 94 minutes, Dustin Ibertsberger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union Vta Rottenbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dustin Ibertsberger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Union Vta Rottenbach had played much better football throughout.
