The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, Union Vta Rottenbach's Sven Debus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florian Stotz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The Union Vta Rottenbach fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Union Vta Rottenbach's Roland Haas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roland Haas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 17 minutes, Sven Debus made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Elsarn's Florian Stotz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Union Vta Rottenbach booed when Elsarn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel-Benjamin Haas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven Debus in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florian Stotz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Florian Stotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Debus in the 34th minute of the match. Danny Kretschmer scored 0-5 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florian Stotz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roland Haas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Florian Stotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Debus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Stotz having to interfere. The Elsarn players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Union Vta Rottenbach were winning 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel-Benjamin Haas to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Union Vta Rottenbach's Dieter Gennburg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florian Stotz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Elsarn's Florian Stotz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Elsarn from getting a goal against them. Tim Brückler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel-Benjamin Haas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Robin Bensch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim Brückler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Bensch in the 71st minute of play. When Dustin Ibertsberger fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Union Vta Rottenbach's protests and gave Dustin Ibertsberger a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Union Vta Rottenbach getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Dustin Ibertsberger hit a great ball. Elsarn's Joel-Benjamin Haas got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel-Benjamin Haas in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Brückler saved Union Vta Rottenbach from getting behind. In the 82ndth minute of the game Sven Debus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elsarn's Florian Stotz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roland Haas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Haas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florian Stotz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Roland Haas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Florian Stotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sven Debus came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Union Vta Rottenbach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Debus couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Union Vta Rottenbach left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Elsarn.
