The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Saak FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Christopher Fabry hit a great ball. When Karl-Heinz Marquardt fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saak FC's protests and gave Karl-Heinz Marquardt a yellow card for diving instead. If Oliver Nielsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Fedde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peer Mauermann having to interfere. Peer Mauermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Heinz Marquardt in the 36th minute of the match. Karl-Heinz Marquardt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peer Mauermann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leon Fedde to strike the kick off in the second half. Oliver Nielsen's late challenge caught a Saak FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Nielsen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Aslansaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Nielsen to maneuver through the defense. If Marc-André Schollenberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Nielsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Roth having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven Metzler during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sven Metzler kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Saak FC's Adrian Roth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc-André Schollenberger in the 80th minute of play. Leon Fedde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Heinz Marquardt in the 87th minute of play forced Aslansaray's goalkeeper Peer Mauermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Nielsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Saak FC's Adrian Roth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Nielsen in the 93rd minute of play. When Oliver Nielsen came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Aslansaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Nielsen couldn't finish the play.
