In the 20th minute, Hammerstadt FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lars Zukrigl fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 22 minutes into the match, Patrick Zahl notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Panzing's Thomas Appenzeller. Thomas Appenzeller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Christian Rubarth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Appenzeller was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 34th minute, Patrick Zahl made a precise shot to the right of Thomas Appenzeller. Panzing's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Christian Rubarth might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Appenzeller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Rubarth ran back to his position shaking his head. Patrick Zahl took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Appenzeller. Thomas Appenzeller dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Patrick Zahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Appenzeller having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Zahl was the one to do the kick off. Sascha-Andreas Hocker struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Fabio Kopp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panzing. Thomas Appenzeller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Zahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Zukrigl might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Kopp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Panzing's Sascha-Andreas Hocker got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Kopp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Zukrigl in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Sascha-Andreas Hocker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panzing fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hammerstadt FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
