Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chris Weiland started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Sterzen's goal looked a bit too open when Elmar Knabel came free, but Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Pirkhofberg FSV booed when Sterzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Maeth didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Pirkhofberg FSV's Kai Held got control of the ball when Jan-Moritz Wiedmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute Elmar Knabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Moritz Wiedmann scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kai Held, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sterzen's Jan-Moritz Wiedmann got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sterzen booed when Pirkhofberg FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Knorr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris Weiland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kai Held tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sterzen defense, Mathias Brock kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden. The Sterzen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden should have stopped the shot. Jan-Moritz Wiedmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kai Held took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Weiland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirkhofberg FSV's goalkeeper Kai Held, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Elmar Knabel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pirkhofberg FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After the first half Pirkhofberg FSV were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 54 minutes, Chris Weiland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sterzen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Weiland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathias Brock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden having to interfere. Klaus Haar charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klaus Haar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sterzen's Klaus Haar got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Chris Weiland made a precise shot to the right of Kai Held. Pirkhofberg FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Sterzen's zone, Elmar Knabel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden came out of the goal and Elmar Knabel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kai Held stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wolf Nieth's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Elmar Knabel could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden however easily saved by the left post. In the 75thth minute of the game Jan-Moritz Wiedmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirkhofberg FSV's Kai Held was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elmar Knabel kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Chris Weiland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Sterzen's Chris Weiland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kai Held narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
