Lucas Dobinski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dirk Unterberger got free with Arne Geissler in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Oliver Öllerich-Dawe took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Arne Geissler to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Unterberger in the 56th minute of play forced Leppen's goalkeeper Arne Geissler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Haberer in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arne Geissler saved Leppen from getting behind. The Scharfling FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marc Schreiber should have stopped the shot. If Philip Kaldtwasser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Schreiber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Kaldtwasser, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Scharfling FC's Marc Schreiber got control of the ball when David Moratschke tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Leppen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leppen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
