Josef Quacken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Frank Kromp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Eisenheld in the 19th minute of play forced Spielberg FSV's goalkeeper Albert Gilgen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Wenten's Rolf Eisenheld got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Josef Quacken could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Frank Kromp however easily saved by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artur Aumann in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albert Gilgen saved Spielberg FSV from getting behind. Artur Aumann succeeded in the game's 33rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The audience was convinced that Rolf Eisenheld's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albert Gilgen was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Frank Kromp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Amerhauser in the 38th minute of the match. The referee ignored Wenten's protests and gave Andreas Jungblut a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half Wenten were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Artur Aumann was the one to do the kick off. Rolf Eisenheld's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Albert Gilgen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Josef Quacken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Kromp having to interfere. After 53 played minutes Wenten got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Kolberg. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Rolf Eisenheld got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolf Eisenheld got free with Albert Gilgen in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Gilgen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Aumann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Gilgen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Aumann in the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Spielberg FSV getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Alex Amerhauser hit a great ball. Wenten's Rolf Eisenheld got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert Gilgen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Aumann in the 93rd minute of play. Alex Amerhauser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chants of Wenten echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Spielberg FSV had held the ball for most of the match.
