Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Niko Wilnauer started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Andreas Kothe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leppen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sterzen the free kick. In the 2nd minute, one of Leppen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leppen. When the match had been going on for 4 minutes, Sterzen's Danny Maeth got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arne Geissler. 9 minutes into the match, Leppen's goalkeeper Arne Geissler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Moritz Wiedmann. Sterzen's Jan-Moritz Wiedmann got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan-Moritz Wiedmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arne Geissler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Philip Kaldtwasser's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Jan-Benedikt Strauch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Weiland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Philip Kaldtwasser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leppen's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Kaldtwasser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niko Wilnauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wolf Nieth charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wolf Nieth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Niko Wilnauer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Arne Geissler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Weiland in the 49th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Leppen's Klaus Grützmacher got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Jan-Moritz Wiedmann came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Sterzen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Moritz Wiedmann couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sterzen's goalkeeper Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wolf Nieth hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jan-Moritz Wiedmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Leppen's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Moritz Wiedmann came free, but Arne Geissler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Rein might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Rein ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Kalb kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Leppen getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Andreas Kothe hit a great ball. Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Philip Kaldtwasser went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jan-Moritz Wiedmann struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Arne Geissler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sterzen. Luca Maaßen kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Ivan Pürk got in the 89th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-2. Constantin-Maximilian Verlinden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niko Wilnauer in the 96th minute of the match. The Sterzen supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Leppen's performance. The match ended with a win for Leppen.
