The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Steffen Manninger the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sterzen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Steffen Manninger had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sterzen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Lucas Dobinski shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 13 minutes, Alex Kalb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sterzen and the Scharfling FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Scharfling FC booed when Sterzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Kalb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Moritz Wiedmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marc Schreiber having to make a save. Marc Schreiber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf Nieth, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute.
