Spectators: 7356 (Terracing: 5450, Seating: 1806, VIP seats: 100) Andreas Oestmann hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Edlau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stephan-Andreas Dreher came free, but Matthäus Peternell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Stephan-Andreas Dreher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthäus Peternell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Edlau FC defense, Tobi Gefken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matthäus Peternell. The Edlau FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthäus Peternell should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedikt Faber during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Draugegend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedikt Faber to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Andreas Oestmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edlau FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Draugegend the free kick. Andreas Oestmann kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Matthäus Peternell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephan-Andreas Dreher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Nussli kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Artur Gieß missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 26 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Matthäus Peternell right hand side. 33 minutes into the match, Lennart Kahofer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matthäus Peternell. Edlau FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lennart Kahofer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Matthäus Peternell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stephan-Andreas Dreher went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lennart Kahofer in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthäus Peternell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jürgen Gabe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Draugegend's Niels Kalweit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jürgen Gabe in the 55th minute of play. Oliver Wieland's late challenge caught a Draugegend's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Wieland helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Edlau FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Oliver Wieland hit a great ball. Matthäus Peternell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Kahofer, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Stephan-Andreas Dreher in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matthäus Peternell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Benedikt Faber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matthäus Peternell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Sascha Kirchmann kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 78th minute of the match, Lennart Kahofer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matthäus Peternell saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 87th minute of the game Benedikt Faber made a throw-in which Stephan-Andreas Dreher played forward. Jürgen Gabe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stephan-Andreas Dreher got free with Matthäus Peternell in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Draugegend's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
