Gernot Schwochow started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Kogelberg FC booed when Derby County was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magnus Münstermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kogelberg FC's Niclas Traintinger couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Derby County. Fabian Austerer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Tobias Leuschner when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Achim Geiblinger came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Derby County's Julian Leßing. But to his dismay, Julian Leßing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Fabian Austerer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Julian Leßing came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Derby County fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Leßing couldn't finish the play. Julian Leßing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gernot Schwochow in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Achim Geiblinger saved Kogelberg FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Gernot Schwochow managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derby County's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernot Schwochow was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Achim Geiblinger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Achim Geiblinger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Leßing in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Leßing got free with Achim Geiblinger in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute of the match, Gernot Schwochow tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Achim Geiblinger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
