Lolei Arena

Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Peter Dickes got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Lolei getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Thomas Marchl hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lolei's zone, Kurt Mauer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heiko Grebe came out of the goal and Kurt Mauer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Peter Dickes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jannick Quint, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Peter Dickes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lolei fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 14th minute, Peter Dickes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Wacker Innsbruck's Kurt Tuters got a free kick in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Kulovitz in the 22nd minute of play forced Lolei's goalkeeper Heiko Grebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Johan Kammen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Grebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Kulovitz in the 25th minute of play forced Lolei's goalkeeper Heiko Grebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, FC Wacker Innsbruck's Andreas Fuhl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Heiko Grebe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Peter Dickes came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Lolei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Dickes couldn't finish the play. Lolei's Jan-Felix Gehling got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 32 minutes of play, FC Wacker Innsbruck's Andreas Fuhl made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heiko Grebe was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Fuhl in the 36th minute of play forced Lolei's goalkeeper Heiko Grebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jannick Quint took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Felix Gehling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johan Kammen was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, FC Wacker Innsbruck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urs Treiber to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Lolei's Peter Dickes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jannick Quint made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. 58 minutes into the match, Jan-Felix Gehling notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of FC Wacker Innsbruck's Jannick Quint. Jannick Quint was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 61 minutes into the match, FC Wacker Innsbruck's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Dickes came free, but Jannick Quint reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Dickes in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jannick Quint prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jannick Quint stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Dickes's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After 69 played minutes Lolei got a freekick which was hit by Peter Deißler. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Kammen in the 71st minute of play forced Lolei's goalkeeper Heiko Grebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Jan-Felix Gehling ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannick Quint was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-2. Jan-Felix Gehling's late challenge caught a FC Wacker Innsbruck's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan-Felix Gehling helped the player get up and apologised. Heiko Grebe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Fuhl in the 86th minute. Jan-Felix Gehling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jannick Quint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match Joel Krinke shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jannick Quint showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Lolei's goalkeeper Heiko Grebe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörg Bachmeier. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lolei fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Wacker Innsbruck had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
