Usakspor's Uwe Plappert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sascha Spörle in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sascha Spörle in the 10th minute of play forced Usakspor's goalkeeper Uwe Plappert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cedric Ratzel hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Tobias Brouwer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Wolff, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Pierre-André Reinhold mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the University of Toronto and the Usakspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pierre-André Reinhold kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Uwe Plappert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sascha Spörle in the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cedric Ratzel during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Usakspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cedric Ratzel to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, University of Toronto's Robin Kühbauer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to University of Toronto getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sascha Spörle hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Bernd Humbert made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Brouwer. University of Toronto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Sascha Spörle notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Usakspor's Uwe Plappert. Uwe Plappert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute, Uwe Dove hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute of the match Robin Kühbauer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uwe Plappert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Usakspor's zone, Sascha Spörle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Plappert came out of the goal and Sascha Spörle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sören Bieber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Uwe Plappert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uwe Dove kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Usakspor getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jens Traintinger hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, University of Toronto's Sören Bieber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uwe Plappert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sascha Spörle made a kick off. Bernd Humbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tobias Brouwer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Sören Bieber got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tobias Brouwer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernd Humbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sören Bieber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uwe Plappert having to make a save. Sascha Spörle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Uwe Plappert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Gerhard Wallner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Lars Wolff put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tobias Brouwer. Bernd Humbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Brouwer having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Lars Wolff notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of University of Toronto's Tobias Brouwer. Tobias Brouwer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute Bernd Humbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Brouwer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sören Bieber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uwe Plappert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Usakspor players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
