The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of FC Hurricane booed when Gars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Backesdorf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Velten's late challenge caught a Gars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rainer Payer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rainer Payer came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Gars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rainer Payer couldn't finish the play. Julien-Nils Wörmann kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Gars getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Claus Schüring hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arne Kühle was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After 33 minutes, Rainer Payer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gars and the FC Hurricane players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gars's Rainer Payer got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gars's Arne Kühle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claus Schüring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thom Nelson having to interfere. Tim Theinert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Arne Kühle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Kühle. Arne Kühle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The Gars players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Hurricane were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer to make the kick off. If Claus Schüring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rainer Payer kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hurricane's zone, Claus Schüring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thom Nelson came out of the goal and Claus Schüring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Achim Trapp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arne Kühle having to make a save. Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Arne Kühle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gars's Heiko Backesdorf got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 73 minutes, Claus Schüring managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claus Schüring was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Gars's Arne Kühle. Arne Kühle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Kühle having to interfere. If Niko Zillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gars's Arne Kühle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Gars from getting a goal against them. Arne Kühle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Gars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heiko Backesdorf to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Andre Hofer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Hurricane had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
