When Rainer Payer came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Gars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rainer Payer couldn't finish the play. Gars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Neher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Bernd Unterligauer made the kick off in the second half. When Sebastian Neher came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the SK Sturm II fans jumped to their feet. Gars's Arne Kühle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernd Unterligauer in the 55th minute of play. Gars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Sebastian Neher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arne Kühle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernd Unterligauer went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the SK Sturm II players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
