Lars Schönberg missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 29 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Marcel Schiborr right hand side. Carl Melin hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Guga Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Pelmberg's goalkeeper David-Pascal Unterligauer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaus Peeters. Robert Weyers kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Pelmberg were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Weyers was the one to do the kick off. David-Pascal Unterligauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaus Peeters in the 61st minute of the match. Bor. Dortmund's Robert Weyers got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Weyers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David-Pascal Unterligauer having to interfere. When Ralf-Willy Wiedmann fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bor. Dortmund's protests and gave Ralf-Willy Wiedmann a yellow card for diving instead. Ralf-Willy Wiedmann hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Robert Weyers might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David-Pascal Unterligauer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Weyers ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcel Schiborr was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Guga Marques capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guga Marques really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Max Rehmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Schiborr having to interfere. Guga Marques struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Marcel Schiborr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pelmberg. 92 minutes into the match, Robert Weyers notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Pelmberg's David-Pascal Unterligauer. David-Pascal Unterligauer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pelmberg's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
