Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uwe Wannemacher to make the kick off. Andreas Blum could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Gerard Henderson made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Hoh FC's Gerard Henderson threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patrick Ovekamp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hoh FC's Patrick Ovekamp got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerard Henderson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Ovekamp in the 91st minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hoh FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
