After 6 minutes, Ahmet Ege Taykara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Angels and the Domaćinski players grew even worse after the yellow card. 13 minutes into the game, Angels's Güner Ilıcak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jakob Aust made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Domaćinski. Marko Ozabiner stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wolfgang Jaskulski. 1-1. Ahmet Ege Taykara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Aust having to interfere. When Thomas Gulia fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Angels's protests and gave Thomas Gulia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute of the match Thorsten Wittrock sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jakob Aust skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Ege Taykara in the 33rd minute of play forced Domaćinski's goalkeeper Jakob Aust to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sascha Brinkmeier in the 70th minute of play forced Angels's goalkeeper Wolfgang Jaskulski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Sascha Brinkmeier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Angels's Wolfgang Jaskulski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Angels's Wolfgang Jaskulski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sascha Brinkmeier in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Sascha Brinkmeier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Domaćinski's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sascha Brinkmeier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wolfgang Jaskulski made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Lutz Friesen sent off a good shot on target. 97 minutes into the game, Güner Ilıcak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Angels's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Domaćinski the free kick. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Angels! Domaćinski's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
