Christopher Hock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th match minute, KSV Falken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-André Nachtsheim to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Sören Woltering shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Schlagbauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, KSV Falken's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christopher Hock fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Scharndorf's Hans-Jürgen Unterligauer in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Scharndorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KSV Falken the free kick. After 34 played minutes Scharndorf got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Ochs. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sören Woltering in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlo Schlagbauer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaus Borak in the 41st minute of play forced Scharndorf's goalkeeper Carlo Schlagbauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 minutes, René Fehringer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scharndorf and the KSV Falken players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Scharndorf getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. René Fehringer hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klaus Borak in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlo Schlagbauer saved Scharndorf from getting behind. Ralf Ochs got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 44th match minute, Scharndorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Ochs to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

A hard shot 53 in the game by Klaus Borak from a close distance when the talented Carlo Schlagbauer managed to make a qualified save. Scharndorf's players were relieved. Jonas-Marius Winkels kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Klaus Borak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, one of Scharndorf:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, KSV Falken's Stephan-Andreas Jani got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Carlo Schlagbauer. Sören Woltering received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Carlo Schlagbauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Scharndorf's Carlo Schlagbauer got control of the ball when Klaus Borak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match KSV Falken got a corner. Scharndorf's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stephan-Andreas Jani ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Sören Woltering to score against Carlo Schlagbauer in Scharndorf's goal. 0-3 after 83 minutes. Sören Woltering received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Carlo Schlagbauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Carlo Schlagbauer managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when KSV Falken's Klaus Borak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sören Woltering's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Schlagbauer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play.
