The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Hoppe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bierussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Frank Hoppe hit a great ball. FC Seitschik's Philipp Kleinert got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute of the match, Chris Tözen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christoph Rohe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bierussia Dortmund's Christoph Rohe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Bierussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. Christoph Rohe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Tözen, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Chris Tözen fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Seitschik's protests and gave Chris Tözen a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes FC Seitschik got a freekick which was hit by Chris Tözen. 19 minutes into the game, Alexander Stotz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Seitschik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bierussia Dortmund the free kick. FC Seitschik's Pascal Breuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Stromann in the 21st minute of play. Andre Engberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pascal Breuer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute Edgar Stromann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascal Breuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Christoph Rohe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Stromann in the 36th minute of play forced FC Seitschik's goalkeeper Pascal Breuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Bierussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Tözen came free, but Christoph Rohe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Bierussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Christoph Rohe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philipp Kleinert. Frank Hoppe hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. FC Seitschik's Philipp Kleinert got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47thth minute of the game Chris Tözen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bierussia Dortmund's Christoph Rohe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The FC Seitschik players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bierussia Dortmund were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Edgar Stromann made the kick off in the second half. Christoph Rohe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Tözen in the 51st minute of the match. Christoph Rohe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philipp Kleinert in the 53rd minute of play. Christoph Rohe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Stotz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andre Engberts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Seitschik's Alexander Stotz suffered a concussion in the 62nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. During the 62nd minute of the match Frank Hoppe completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Frank Hoppe a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of FC Seitschik booed when Bierussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Hoppe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christoph Rohe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philipp Kleinert, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. FC Seitschik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philipp Kleinert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute Philipp Kleinert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Rohe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bierussia Dortmund were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Seitschik's much stronger midfield.
