Anibal Sobera started the match with the kick off. If Chris Tözen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philipp Kleinert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anibal Sobera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Seitschik booed when Pulgarn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Sobera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejandro Quirze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Tözen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yanick Rohde kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Till-Julius Strobl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pascal Breuer having to make a save. If Anibal Sobera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes Pulgarn got a freekick which was hit by Marc-Joel Vanik. Philipp Kleinert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Quirze having to interfere. Pulgarn made a substitution. Oliver Kühnemund replaced Matthäus Polster. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Pascal Breuer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Till-Julius Strobl in the 54th minute of play. Severin Diling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascal Breuer having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, FC Seitschik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philipp Kleinert to maneuver through the defense. Till-Julius Strobl took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pascal Breuer. Pascal Breuer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Pulgarn's Till-Julius Strobl slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pascal Breuer. That made the score 0-2 after 69 minutes of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Seitschik's goalkeeper Pascal Breuer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pascal Breuer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Till-Julius Strobl in the 86th minute. Till-Julius Strobl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
