In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Edlbach FC's goalkeeper Till-Julius Lufen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uwe Humer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Till-Julius Lufen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 17th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aaron Bischoff. AC Empersdorf's Florian Pöck got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Walter Friz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 37 played minutes Edlbach FC got a freekick which was hit by Torben Riepe. Till-Julius Lufen was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Claas Kulovitz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claas Kulovitz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Uwe Humer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Till-Julius Lufen having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claas Kulovitz in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Till-Julius Lufen saved Edlbach FC from getting behind. A collision led to AC Empersdorf getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Claas Kulovitz hit a great ball. When Ralf-Willy Holtmann came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Edlbach FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf-Willy Holtmann couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Uwe Humer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Till-Julius Lufen was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Uwe Humer managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Empersdorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Uwe Humer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Till-Julius Lufen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radomir Domin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Friz in the 77th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AC Empersdorf fans cheered their team off the field, for while Edlbach FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
