Match Report

Stuhlfelden Sportfel
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0)
It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Israel Grabiel kicked off to start the match. Douglas Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Till Bünder in the 4th minute of play. Power Vienna's Robin Ludwig got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Power Vienna's Gernot Hülsmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Power Vienna from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Till Bünder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Power Vienna's supporters rose to their feet, but Till Bünder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, Ralf-Willy Kreter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Stuhlfelden's goal looked a bit too open when Till Bünder came free, but Douglas Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Till Bünder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Douglas Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Till-Julius Schipploch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Till Bünder came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Power Vienna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Till Bünder couldn't finish the play. If Till-Julius Schipploch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ralf-Willy Kreter fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Power Vienna's protests and gave Ralf-Willy Kreter a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Power Vienna got a freekick which was hit by Ralf-Willy Kreter. 39 minutes into the game, Klaus-Marco Pierron recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gernot Hülsmann. Klaus-Marco Pierron showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Power Vienna's Gernot Hülsmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus-Marco Pierron in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Stuhlfelden's Benito Cheche got a free kick in the 45th minute. Till-Julius Schipploch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Quadros having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Till Bünder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gernot Hülsmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus-Marco Pierron, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 52 minutes of play Power Vienna's Ralf-Willy Kreter was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ralf-Willy Kreter hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute Israel Grabiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gernot Hülsmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Cheche made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Power Vienna's Till-Julius Schipploch. Gernot Hülsmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Krebs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 minutes, Benito Cheche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stuhlfelden and the Power Vienna players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Stuhlfelden getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Benito Cheche hit a great ball. Robin Ludwig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Quadros having to interfere. Gernot Hülsmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus-Marco Pierron in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Power Vienna booed when Stuhlfelden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Krebs didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Till Bünder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Power Vienna's supporters rose to their feet, but Till Bünder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 played minutes Stuhlfelden got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Krebs. Gernot Hülsmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Grabiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gernot Hülsmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Grabiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Klaus-Marco Pierron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gernot Hülsmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Power Vienna defense, Israel Grabiel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gernot Hülsmann. The Power Vienna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gernot Hülsmann should have stopped the shot. Power Vienna's Gernot Hülsmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Krebs in the 88th minute of play. Holger Wörner charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Holger Wörner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes Power Vienna got a freekick which was hit by Holger Wörner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaus-Marco Pierron in the 93rd minute of play forced Power Vienna's goalkeeper Gernot Hülsmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Stuhlfelden's Douglas Quadros got control of the ball when Robin Ludwig tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Stuhlfelden could leave the field as winners, despite Power Vienna having more of the ball for most of the match.
