After some careless play in the Edlbach FC defense, Nicolas Lupzig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Till-Julius Lufen. The Edlbach FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Till-Julius Lufen should have stopped the shot. Nicolas Lupzig struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Till-Julius Lufen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Javvy. Peer Kothe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Peer Kothe came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the FC Javvy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peer Kothe couldn't finish the play. Georg Reichert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Till-Julius Lufen having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Philipp Drechsler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Javvy and the Edlbach FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Javvy getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Philipp Drechsler hit a great ball. Ralf-Willy Holtmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolas Lupzig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Edlbach FC's goalkeeper Till-Julius Lufen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peer Kothe. Edlbach FC's Till-Julius Lufen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Lupzig in the 54th minute of play. The referee ignored Edlbach FC's protests and gave Tobias Berens a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Edlbach FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Berens to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the game, Walter Friz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edlbach FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Javvy the free kick. Gerhard Ramusch made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Torben Riepe however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Edlbach FC's zone, Dominic-Simon Schlacher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Till-Julius Lufen came out of the goal and Dominic-Simon Schlacher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georg Reichert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Till-Julius Lufen having to interfere. FC Javvy's Timo-Fabian Reinke got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Edlbach FC's goalkeeper Till-Julius Lufen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timo-Fabian Reinke. If Peer Kothe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
