Jan-Peter Schwab thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jens Gaertner, a very annoying self made goal in the 18th minute which led to 0-2. Jens Gaertner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank-Dieter Jelden's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 26th match minute, SC Eisenstadt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Kreter to maneuver through the defense. Jens Gaertner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th minute, Dominik Van Beneden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-11 became the score in the 82nd minute when Dominik Van Beneden elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Red Bull Salzburg got a freekick which was hit by Florian Hörbelt. The crowd rose to their feet as Tibor Landgrebe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jens Gaertner. That made the score 0-12 in the 91 minute of play. After 95 played minutes Red Bull Salzburg got a freekick which was hit by Florian Hörbelt. The Red Bull Salzburg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Eisenstadt were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
