With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Erik Dusett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute, Nereo Rik made a precise shot to the right of Per-Erik Dusett. SC Eisenstadt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nereo Rik might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per-Erik Dusett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nereo Rik ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the match, SC Eisenstadt's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Rik came free, but Per-Erik Dusett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tedj Yahia charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tedj Yahia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SK Fenerbahce Wien getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. In the 49th minute, Vasyl Gladiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half SK Fenerbahce Wien were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
