Thanks to some nice moves Urs-Peter Lainer could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Abidin Acarbey however easily saved by the left post. Andy Fehr kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Mechanical Animals booed when FcBludenz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rémi Jacquet didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Gencho Evstatiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Maletz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urs-Peter Lainer got free with Abidin Acarbey in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonas Maletz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernhardt Wallner in the 60th minute of the match.
