In the 38th minute, Xamo Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abidin Acarbey was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Abidin Acarbey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xamo Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Abidin Acarbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xamo Moreira in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Darweesh Sabry charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darweesh Sabry the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Georg Lainer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Xamo Moreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abidin Acarbey. That made the score 2-2 in the 60 minute of play. Abidin Acarbey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Barten in the 63rd minute. Darweesh Sabry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberigo Prato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Lainer in the 67th minute of play. Alberigo Prato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georg Lainer in the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of Rapid Wien booed when FcBludenz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wolfgang-Bernd Adolphi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Barten missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 78 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Abidin Acarbey right hand side. Leon Barten who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Abidin Acarbey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 83 minutes, Gencho Evstatiev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FcBludenz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gencho Evstatiev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 85 played minutes FcBludenz got a freekick which was hit by Georg Lainer. In the 87th minute, Georg Lainer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FcBludenz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Walkowski in the 91st minute of play forced FcBludenz's goalkeeper Abidin Acarbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abidin Acarbey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xamo Moreira in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rapid Wien players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FcBludenz.
