Gabriel Rathmann was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Georg Lainer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 10 minute of play. The supporters of FcBludenz booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beppe Catapano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Georg Lainer managed to get in a good position for a shot. FcBludenz's supporters rose to their feet, but Georg Lainer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Rathmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FcBludenz booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beppe Catapano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Georg Lainer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FcBludenz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georg Lainer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as FcBludenz's Gencho Evstatiev slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gabriel Rathmann. That made the score 5-0 after 22 minutes of play. Gencho Evstatiev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Gabriel Rathmann made a huge save. In the 28th minute Eduard Säuml shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abidin Acarbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FcBludenz getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Georg Lainer hit a great ball. Galatasaray SK's Gabriel Rathmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray SK from getting a goal against them. Gencho Evstatiev struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Gabriel Rathmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FcBludenz. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gencho Evstatiev made a kick off. Patrick Nadel charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Nadel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes, FcBludenz's Georg Lainer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Rathmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FcBludenz reached it. Gencho Evstatiev struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Gabriel Rathmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FcBludenz. Abidin Acarbey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arto Kaldmaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by FcBludenz's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arto Kaldmaa was slow to take the kick. During this time Galatasaray SK's players had a chance to rest. Joakim Frankvig kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Achim Büssinger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FcBludenz's Bernhardt Wallner got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After some careless play in the Galatasaray SK defense, Gencho Evstatiev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Rathmann. The Galatasaray SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Rathmann should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Galatasaray SK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FcBludenz.
