In the 16thth minute of the game Anfilogino Alfonsi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Angst vorm Ball's Robin Erbler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute Marko Köller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Mallinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Angst vorm Ball's zone, Felix Hanschirik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robin Erbler came out of the goal and Felix Hanschirik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Angst vorm Ball's Robin Erbler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Adolphi in the 21st minute of play. Marcel Mallinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Michael, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 23 minutes into the match, FV Wienerwald's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Michael came free, but Marcel Mallinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Hanschirik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FV Wienerwald booed when FC Angst vorm Ball was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hartmut Hägele didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half FC Angst vorm Ball were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The FV Wienerwald fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Angst vorm Ball were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
