The referee ignored Lanzenkirchen's protests and gave Jakub Kornaszewski a yellow card for diving instead. Lanzenkirchen's Karl-Åke Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Evarado in the 36th minute of play. Freestylers's German Evarado got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roland Freytags short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Yuan Lei Jing to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucjan Bejger in the 85th minute of play forced Freestylers's goalkeeper Yuan Lei Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
