Claudinho Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Neziri in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Preng Shoshi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of shqiponja e kuqe's Claudinho Figueiredo. Claudinho Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vedat Vako received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Claudinho Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anton Neziri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The referee showed Mazllum Rusi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Mazllum Rusi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lazarat's Vedat Vako got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of shqiponja e kuqe booed when Lazarat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perlat Rexhollari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renald Kondi might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Endrit Gjoza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renald Kondi ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Lazarat's goal looked a bit too open when Renald Kondi came free, but Endrit Gjoza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alket Krasniqi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alket Krasniqi came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the shqiponja e kuqe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alket Krasniqi couldn't finish the play. Endrit Gjoza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alket Krasniqi in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Neziri in the 47th minute of play forced shqiponja e kuqe's goalkeeper Claudinho Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Neziri to make the kick off.
