Pali Memelli's late challenge caught a INTER FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pali Memelli helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of INTER FC booed when University of Toronto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pali Memelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sadik Daku recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Demirel Cane put in a rough tackle. 21 minutes into the game, one of University of Toronto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave INTER FC a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vladimir Bjondini, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of University of Toronto's Boiken Dallku. 0-1. Boiken Dallku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Meidani, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Sadik Daku put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Boiken Dallku. Boiken Dallku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sadik Daku in the 34th minute of the match. Sadik Daku might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boiken Dallku. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sadik Daku ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Vasil Malko made the kick off in the second half. INTER FC's Jorxhi Kraja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasil Malko in the 55th minute of play. Sadik Daku fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boiken Dallku having to interfere. Sadik Daku could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Boiken Dallku made a huge save. University of Toronto's Boiken Dallku proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save University of Toronto from getting a goal against them. Vasil Malko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorxhi Kraja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play.
