Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albano Rugova in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kejni Ruvina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 13 minutes, Valon Neziri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballshi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valon Neziri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albano Rugova in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kejni Ruvina saved Gjirokastër KS from getting behind. The supporters of Ballshi booed when Gjirokastër KS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatmir Spahiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th match minute, Ballshi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Festim Lazaj to maneuver through the defense. Qatip Gallo's late challenge caught a Gjirokastër KS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Qatip Gallo helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Ballshi got a freekick which was hit by Qatip Gallo. Albano Rugova struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Kejni Ruvina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballshi. Albano Rugova received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kejni Ruvina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remzi Hysenbegasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meti Kurti in the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Gjirokastër KS booed when Ballshi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fllad Beqaj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albano Rugova scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kejni Ruvina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Albano Rugova took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kejni Ruvina. Kejni Ruvina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 39 minutes into the match, Ballshi's Valon Neziri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kejni Ruvina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Albano Rugova managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballshi's supporters rose to their feet, but Albano Rugova was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kejni Ruvina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Valon Neziri made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meti Kurti in the 52nd minute of play forced Ballshi's goalkeeper Remzi Hysenbegasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Valon Neziri came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ballshi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valon Neziri couldn't finish the play. If Albano Rugova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ballshi's Fllad Beqaj got a free kick in the 61st minute. Meti Kurti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Meti Kurti scored 1-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remzi Hysenbegasi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
