Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Keith Thornton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonny Myers having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Colin Lynch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CUX United the free kick. Colin Lynch kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Keith Thornton hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Martin Osbourne fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Colin Caine, passed just outside the right post. If Martin Osbourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonny Myers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Tetley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Colin Lynch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonny Myers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Tom Tetley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Tetley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonny Myers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, Micheal Carpenter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 40 minutes, Tom Tetley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tom Tetley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Grant Featherstone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tom Tetley came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Liverpool F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Tetley couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Osbourne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tom Tetley during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CUX United booed when Liverpool F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Tetley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Tom Tetley fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Keith Thornton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Keith Thornton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonny Myers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 66 minutes, Colin Lynch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Keith Thornton came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Liverpool F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keith Thornton couldn't finish the play. Colin Lynch took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonny Myers. Jonny Myers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Keith Thornton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Tom Tetley got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 86th minute, Keith Thornton made a precise shot to the right of Jonny Myers. CUX United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Jonny Myers made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Colin Lynch sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Liverpool F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CUX United.
