Freddie Strickland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattias Ashton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Strickland in the 23rd minute of play. If Sly Downes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfie Thompson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Ashton having to interfere. Freddie Strickland received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mattias Ashton came out and tried to block the shot, but Freddie Strickland slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 41st minute. Freddie Strickland succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Wally Locking made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Crosby's goal looked a bit too open when Freddie Strickland came free, but Mattias Ashton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wally Locking fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damien Dewhirst having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Crosby's goal looked a bit too open when Alfie Thompson came free, but Mattias Ashton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattias Ashton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddie Strickland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfie Thompson took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mattias Ashton. Mattias Ashton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Freddie Strickland struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mattias Ashton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tiki Taka Barcelona. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Strickland in the 71st minute of play forced Crosby's goalkeeper Mattias Ashton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Crosby's zone, Alfie Thompson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Ashton came out of the goal and Alfie Thompson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Crosby's Mattias Ashton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Strickland in the 77th minute of play. Alfie Thompson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wally Locking fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crosby's protests and gave Wally Locking a yellow card for diving instead. Wally Locking hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Alfie Thompson spun around in front of the goal 83 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Crosby's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfie Thompson in the 95th minute of play forced Crosby's goalkeeper Mattias Ashton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Freddie Strickland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Ashton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Freddie Strickland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
