The supporters of Newton Abbot booed when Andorra F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathan Clarkson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute Zackary Billington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Bond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Grant Layfield made the kick off in the second half. Darren Parry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Layfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The Andorra F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. After 70 played minutes Newton Abbot got a freekick which was hit by Matt Dobson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stewart Preston got free with Ian Bond in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darren Parry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Layfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Stewart Preston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Bond having to interfere.
