Spectators: 8546 (Terracing: 6411, Seating: 1965, VIP seats: 170) Quilmes's Stuart Boxall started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derek Hopker during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derek Hopker to maneuver through the defense. Kasey Cross hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Bart Smart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Daryl Mowlem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bromyard's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilmes the free kick. Daryl Mowlem kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Don Martinez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kasey Cross went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Dom Hickson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Dom Hickson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Don Martinez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daryl Mowlem kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Stuart Boxall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bromyard's Don Martinez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Don Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Boxall in the 30th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Quilmes's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Britton came free, but Pierre Blowman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stuart Boxall struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Don Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quilmes. Bart Smart scored 0-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Don Martinez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donny Grantham was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Sutton during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 51st minute, Dan Sutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quilmes's Timothy Oates couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bromyard. Pierre Blowman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Britton, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Stuart Boxall received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Don Martinez came out and tried to block the shot, but Stuart Boxall slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 65th minute. In the 71st play minute Kasey Cross came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Don Martinez. 0-6. The throw-in from Reg Hughes in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Quilmes's Bart Smart. With his leg Don Martinez managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Quilmes's Stuart Boxall fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kasey Cross who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Don Martinez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Quilmes's Stuart Boxall in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bromyard's goalie prevented a goal. If Kasey Cross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stuart Boxall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Martinez having to interfere. Don Martinez made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Kasey Cross sent off a good shot on target. Quilmes's Dom Hickson got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quilmes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
