After having played for 4 minutes, Ty Wilkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hemel Hempstead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ty Wilkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mattias Stone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Oldham in the 5th minute of the match. After 8 minutes of play, Santa Coloma FC's Will Welsh made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joey Coleman was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Wilkins in the 11th minute of play forced Santa Coloma FC's goalkeeper Mattias Stone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Eddy English kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joey Coleman. That made the score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 19th minute Eddy Oldham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Stone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ty Wilkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Santa Coloma FC booed when Hemel Hempstead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylon Bannister didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eddy English had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wesley Frizzell charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wesley Frizzell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wesley Frizzell hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hemel Hempstead's Joey Coleman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy English in the 27th minute of play. Hemel Hempstead's Tim Davies got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mattias Stone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Frizzell in the 41st minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Santa Coloma FC's Eddy English sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joey Coleman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Eddy English made the kick off in the second half. Eddy Oldham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Will Welsh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tim Davies hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Santa Coloma FC's Will Welsh in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hemel Hempstead's goalie prevented a goal. Will Welsh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Coleman having to interfere. Ty Wilkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Ty Wilkins notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Santa Coloma FC's Mattias Stone. Mattias Stone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fred Greenwood hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Santa Coloma FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hemel Hempstead for a fine match.
