In the 45th minute Jerry Britton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glyn Pope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glyn Pope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Britton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerry Britton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lloyd Cambridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Don Martinez having to interfere. Trevor Auckland kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, Buckingham Palace was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jay Rooney to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the game, Jerry Britton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Glyn Pope was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Don Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trevor Auckland in the 71st minute of play. Donny Grantham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Donny Grantham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donny Grantham in the 82nd minute of play forced Buckingham Palace's goalkeeper Glyn Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bromyard's zone, Lloyd Cambridge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Don Martinez came out of the goal and Lloyd Cambridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bromyard's Don Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Payne in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Donny Grantham had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Glyn Pope. Buckingham Palace's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donny Grantham was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
