Barrie Perkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Howard Pryor in the 22nd minute of play. Brandon Grantham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doug Whitford in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, SJL Tigers's Howard Pryor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Howard Pryor made a kick off. Brandon Grantham made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Doug Whitford sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dylon Grantham during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Dynamo 93 booed when SJL Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylon Grantham didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gregory Impey came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SJL Tigers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregory Impey couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Kristopher Bridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barrie Perkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Howard Pryor in the 59th minute of play. Gregory Impey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Barrie Perkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gregory Impey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Nicholson in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brandon Grantham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ralph Nicholson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brandon Grantham having to interfere. When Doug Whitford came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Dynamo 93 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doug Whitford couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dynamo 93 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SJL Tigers.
