FC Barcelona's Duncan Blackwell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save FC Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Ralph Nicholsons short, quick shot in the 49thth minute got Duncan Blackwell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rhys Howarth made a kick off.
